Nokia E62 gets TeleNav GPS

Cingular is branching out a bit, launching its wireless navigation system TeleNav GPS Navigator on the Nokia E62 smartphone.

Among the user-friendly elements of the TeleNAV GPS Navigator are full-color 3D moving maps and turn-by-turn directions. The maps are amenable to panning and zooming. The system also includes what the company calls “fuzzy search,” which fills in addresses for users based on nearby locations and even fixes spelling mistakes.

The TeleNAV GPS Navigator system is available for just US $6 a month, for up to 10 trips. Any more than that and you’ll pay extra.

The system is also available on other smartphones, including Cingular’s own 8125 and 8525 and the Palm Treo 650.
