Move over SlingBox, you’ve got company. Soon you will have yet another option when it comes to selecting a place-shifting, TV-providing device, because the Pinnacle PCTV To Go is on its way. In fact, this beauty of a WiFi box (essentially a rebadged Snappy HAVA box) will start shipping before month’s end.

As can be expected, it hooks up to your favorite cable or satellite box (etc), and then sends that lovely MPEG-4 signal over the internet, ready to be picked up by you miles away at Grandma’s, the in-laws, or while on reconnaissance in Korea. Windows Media Center PCs can also watch and record the programming blasted over as MPEG-2 vids.

The expected price for this place shifter is $250.
