When they finally went official with the Palm Treo 680 last month, we knew that we were destined for a PDA phone bargain. After all, the Treo 680 was designed to be an entry-level handset right from the start. Apparently, Amazon didn’t get the memo, because they’ve listed an unlocked version at $413.99.

Shortly after this price went up, they made a quick edit, removing any indication of price whatsoever, and that’s how it stands now. Personally, I think it would make more sense to wait for Cingular to badge this puppy, because you might be able to get it for free.
