I spy with my little eye….

Passwords can be difficult to remember. Fingerprint readers may not work all that well when you get a couple of paper cuts. But one part of your body that doesn’t change all that much is your eye. Unique to each individual is their iris, and that is exactly what the latest biometric security solution from Oki is targeting.

The special iris scanner works just fine with most cameraphones, preventing would be thieves and fraud artists from using your cell phone for illicit purposes. With over 99.99% accuracy (only 1 in 100,000 resulted in an error), it’s unlikely to block you out of your own phone.

No word on price, but the company is promising a March 2007 launch.
