How nice of Microsoft. They’re giving you a bushel of free pre-loaded content when you pick up their awesome Zune media player, but check out what happens when you try to sync it up with your home library: A message pops up asking if you’d like to “remove all the content on your Zune and replace it with the content in this library instead.”

Well, it turns out that even after you go through the synchronization process, the pre-loaded content remains unscathed. As in completely unscathed, because it doesn’t show up on your computer, sitting pretty on the Zune alone. Yup, it is completely and utterly sync-proof. It will not be removed or copied.
