Smartphones appear to the wave of the future, but Palm Treos and BlackBerry handhelds are far from being your only options. T-Mobile has just updated their lineup with the MDA Compact III, a Windows Mobile 5.0 device complete with integrated GPS capabilities.

Not only will get all that data management, telephony, and multimedia functionality that you need, but you’ll also receive full turn-by-turn directions, detailed street mapping, and route calculation.

They’ve even kept the price down for the blokes in the UK, retailing it for just £59.99 (when you sign on to the £42.50/month Flext 35 tariff plus web’n’walk plan). That’s only about US$114. Not bad at all.
