iLoupe is a powerful digital microscope

This is not your average digital camera, by any means. It has that official look about it because it doubles as a digital field microscope. It’s a camera with a microscope add-on.

The iLoupe, from Aven, can achieve lens magnifications from 60x up to 150x. That makes a very powerful camera to use in the field. The company says it its targeting forensics investigators and others who have in-the-field needs, as well as those who need to examine fabrics, components, and even skin up close and personal.

Originally shown at the ATExpo in Chicago, the iLoupe is now ready to be purchased, although pricing has not yet been revealed.
