Hot on the heels of the announcement from Telus comes more good news for sweet-toothed Canadians. Rogers Wireless has just unveiled their rendition of the LG Chocolate phone, the TG800, which is essentially the GSM KG800 with one very substantial difference: the 850MHz band. That makes this super slim handset very North American friendly, particularly for people who live and work in concrete jungles.
While I appreciate the silky smooth look of the TG800 over the Verizon clone that Telus is carrying, I am a little disappointed that Rogers didn’t add a memory card slot to the picture, restricting us to just 128MB of on board memory. Other key specs include a 1.3 megapixel camera, 176 x 220 color display, and three midnight-themed games.
Pricing for the LG TG800 from Rogers is $150, $200, $250, and $320 for when you sign a three, two, one, and no contract, respectively.
