Is GM’s electric car prototype too late?

The 2007 North American International Auto Show is just around the corner, and General Motors may be hoping to make a big splash by unveiling an all-new plug-in electric hybrid. The “plug-in” part is far from being confirmed, but should it hold up, the new vehicle will enjoy “net mileage in the triple digits.”

In any case, we’ll have to wait until January at the Auto Show (at the earliest) before we get any sort of confirmation one way or the other. Cross your fingers that it doesn’t get killed by big oil.
