It would be lovely if I could cruise around town in a Bugatti Veyron. I’d even be perfectly content if I could take a lazy Sunday afternoon drive in a Lamborghini Gallardo. Unfortunately, I don’t exactly have the bankroll to purchase a supercar, but maybe I might soon because the Factory Five GTM can be had for under £20,000.

Under the hood, you’ll find a monstrous Corvette V8. For the modest, there’s the 5.7L that’ll put out 350hp and do 0-60mph in 3.5 seconds, but if you really want to go like stink, you’ll want the wet-your-pants 7.0-liter variant.

Oh, the catch (you knew there had to be one): You have to build the GTM yourself. Yup, it’s just a kit car, so you’ll need to find your own brakes, suspension, gearbox, and so forth. But hey, the basic kit is just £10,500. Too bad it’d take a “decent home mechanic around 300 hours to complete a car.”
