I never knew there was such a thing as a battery enthusiast. Someone that gets all giddy over mAh ratings, doing a little dance every time someone mentions a deep cycle. Apparently, that’s the audience that Maha Energy is catering to with their latest device, the WizardOne MH-C9000. It’s more than any old battery charger (though it does that too), as it’s also being marketed as an “analyzer.”

Maha Energy, the company that also makes Powerex batteries, is saying that the WizardOne is designed for “charging, conditioning, analyzing, cycling, forming and discharging one to four AA or AAA batteries.” You can use the “forming charge” to properly break in your new dry cells. with “Cycle” mode, you charge and discharge your batteries consecutively, storing the juice from 15 cycles (for later use?). The LCD screen will keep you in the know.

Look for the WizardOne MH-C9000 next month with an asking price of $70.
