Now that more people want to get laptops actually off their freakin laps, companies are looking at alternative uses for their mobile counterparts. Here we have something so simple yet clever, we wonder where it has been all this time: the Logitech Alto.

Sure, you could use some textbooks to pop it up, along with any old USB keyboard, but it won’t give you the ergonamics and pure slickness that the Alto does. For $99 US the Alto adds a full-sized keyboard to let your fingers speed away, USB 2.0 hub, adjustable positions and a few one-touch hot keys. It even offers seamless integration with the Logitech VX Revolution cordless laser mouse for notebooks.
