Now that you can score a crazy deal on a first-gen shuffle, you’ve got to wonder if the clippy successor is worth the extra dough. PCMag got one in the mail and they decide that it is “impressively small, and the built-in clip makes it ideal for working out, running, or just casual listening.”

It’s not as though the 0.5-ounce player is without its shortcomings, however, most notably missing a display and FM radio reception. That said, they decide that the 12 hours of battery life, impossibly small form factor, and el cheapo price point are enough to overcome those negatives.
