Four new KDDI phone designs a little out there

If anything, KDDI is known for pushing the envelope when it comes to unleashing some odd-looking cell phone designs. It’s like they comb the globe (or their own Japanese backyard) for the latest and strangest. The “au Design Project” is their latest effort, producing at least four innovative designs. We commented on the glossy wonder known as the INFOBAR2 a couple of days ago, and today we show you three more.

The Vols (left) will certainly turn a few heads with its brushed aluminum finish and what appears to be a slide out screen. The Cypres (center) and Kaos (right) round out the quad. No further details were released, including whether any of these will make it into production.
