Retro hot rod chic with the Detroit-bound Holden Efijy

Ford may be seeking out the “Way Forward”, but the folks at General Motors are going retro. The classically designed Efijy concept — from Holden, GM’s Australian nephew — has already been awarded Hot Rod of the Year and now it seems that it’s heading to Detroit for the car show in January. If this rumor holds true, there is a distinct possibility that the “HSV-powered throwback hot rod” will head into production, in some form or another, appealing largely to empty nesters looking for an excellent looking toy. It could probably use a name change, though, as “Efijy” just looks a little goofy in print.
