Japan seems to the home of video games. Many of the biggest giants in the industry are based there — Nintendo, Sony, Konami, and so on — and now a leading developer of mobile content in Japan has inked a deal that will see some of their best stuff ported over to the American market. CELL Co. Ltd. has partnered up with Shockwave.com, signing a deal that will see the distribution of CELL games within the United States. These offerings will be shuttled through to Verizon Wireless subscribers through select Get It Now-enabled handsets. The five initial releases are Commando Jump, Shot Clock Swish, Hero Team Skate Park, Fish Feeder and City Stacker. Your mobile phone will need Flash Lite in order to run these titles, which are actually rather small downloads according to the developer.
