It’s been a long time coming for us poor Canucks. While Americans have been enjoying number portability for about two years now, Canadians have been stuck with changing their digits each time they decide to switch providers. No longer! We’ve had enough!

We’ve heard countless rumours, but now there appears to a reasonably firm date set. March 14, 2007 is the day that Canadians will finally be treated to number portability. Tired of Telus and want to hop onto Fido (or vice versa)? Soon, you will be able to… and not lose that l33t number you’ve been prizing for years.
