Crikey! The outback is about to be flooded with the smallest Hummer in the fleet. Holden, GM’s Aussie brand, is going to be the one handling the sales of the H3 sport utility vehicle, in addition to “16 other new models that will be arriving for 2007 and beyond,” according to Alan Baty, a GM Holden suit (his official title is “Executive Director Sales, Marketing and Aftersales).

They’re planning on shipping the military-inspired ute (built in South Africa), despite rising fuel prices and falling demand for SUVs. Apparently Hummer buyers don’t care, placing much greater value in the “iconic design and absolute, unparalleled off-road ability.”
