This is a little disconcerting, considering how much we drool over LG’s Chocolate and the latest Ultra Edition slider from Samsung. According to Danawa, an online price-comparison service, 45% of those polled said that their Korean-made cell phone underwent repair at least once. To make matters worse, one in five devices needs to be shipped away for warranty service.
I’ve put together a chart summarizing the results, and you’ll notice that it seems pretty even right across the board. Even Motorola products fall in line with their Korean counterparts, making me wonder if it’s not so much about Korean cell phones as it is about cell phones in general. Problematic yet infinitely useful items they are.
