Rolling out with Philips READUS e-paper demo videos

One of the drawbacks to carrying around a PMP with a large vibrant display is that the device is necessarily a little bulky. The Philips READUS addresses that issue with its unique roll-out screen, and we’ve got a couple more videos of this fantastic solution in action.

Although you won’t exactly be able to enjoy full feature films on this handheld, it will suit you quite well for when you want to sit back and enjoy an e-book on the go. The 5-inch QVGA display is more than adequate, providing four grey levels for some monochrome image goodness. The READUS would also be useful for road trips where you want to store several electronic maps.
