As you know, Yahoo has quite the online presence, but they’re not so much into making their own hardware. When it came time to build a UMPC, they turned their money over to Quanta Computer and here we have the result. To be powered by Windows XP Tablet Edition, the Quanta-built handheld will feature Yahoo’s “Go for ultra mobiles software” and Intel’s Viiv technology. Naturally, a whole whack of Yahoo-based solutions are on board as well, including Yahoo photos, music, and maybe even email. By all indications, the QWERTY keyboard slides out from the bottom, stowing away inside the unit when not needed. More as it develops.
