Dr. Z is not impressed. While DaimlerChrysler appears to be doing quite well for itself, the Chrysler Group is not. In fact, there’s a rumor stirring that the parent company wants to sell of this now unwanted child. During a press conference earlier today, CFO Bodo Uebber “refused to rule out the possibility of a sale” of the Chrysler Group.
After all, the Mercedes side of things (i.e. “Daimler”) came up with an operating profit of $1.26 billion during Q3, while its Chrysler counterpart came up with a $1.48 billion operating loss. Not quite as bad as Ford, but pretty bad nonetheless.
