Pantech doesn’t only want to make an international splash with their hot cell phones, they want a piece of the broadband computer pie too, unleashing the PX-500 connection card onto Sprint’s shelves. Instead of restricting your mobile internet access to WiFi hotspots, you can latch on Sprint’s Power Vision EV-DO network, enjoying “higher data speeds for a mobile DSL-like experience.” Rev.A, which will provide even faster connections, will be ready for later this year.

If you want to buy the Pantech PX-500 outright, it’ll run you a cool $200, but if you’re willing to sign a two-year agreement and deal with a mail-in rebate, this mobile internet solution goes for the price of… free.
