For their follow-up to the hugely popular Chocolate series, it seems that LG has forgotten to remove the aluminium foil. The SV420 Shine is the highly anticipated sequel to El Chocolicious, and it comes boasting a shiny metal body rather than the soft plasticky exterior of its predecessor. There are several changes of note: the touch sensitive keys are conspicuously absent, we find a “classic metallic scroll key” for navigation, and the 2.2-inch QVGA display “doubles as a mirror.” Behind the 2 megapixel camera is a Schneider Kreuznach lens. Music-centric tendencies are present, as expected, playing off the 1GB of memory (not sure whether that’s internal or via a memory card). This is a Korea-only CDMA unit for now, but I wouldn’t doubt that a GSM rendition is in the works.
