I remember when finding a VGA (640 x 480) display on a cell phone was quite the wonder to behold. It still is, to a certain extent. Screen resolutions are getting better and better these days, and while Samsung may boast the world’s largest plasma, Sanyo has taken full HD (1920 x 1080) and brought it to a 7.1-inch display. That makes it the world’s smallest HD display, making it a perfect solution for a number of modern electronics, like UMPCs, in-car navigation systems, personal media players, and the like. They’ve also plunked XGA (1024 x 768) goodness into a 2.6-inch screen developed with cell phones in mind.
