Samsung AMOLED utterly anorexic at 0.78mm thick

Samsung SDI is back to their ultra skinny ways, this time turning their attention to new display technology. As you recall, AMOLED (active matrix OLED) provides super vibrant colors and incredible refresh rates, playing “perfect video files 1,000 times faster than the conventional LCD.” They’ve put this technology on a diet, revealing a 0.78mm thick version that measures 2.2-inches diagonally. There’s no need for any backlighting, and you can even place two of them back to back (1.6mm) to provide a two-sided display. Pretty cool.
