I’m not really a fan of the vibrant pink accents, but you’ve got to like what the RipRoar Video Free brings to the table. It is a full-fledged PMP, but it packs in personal video recording (PVR) functionality right out of the box. You can connect it directly to your television (or any video source, really) and let it rip all that programming for later viewing on its “iPod Video-quality” 2.5-inch color display. Although the internal memory comes up pretty short (512MB), you can find some extra space via the SD expansion slot which will take cards as big as 2GB. There’s a built-in speaker, USB port, and a reported 5 hours of battery life. The price is a little aggressive, though, at $199. More info at the ToyQuest site.
