STAReBOOK e-book reader launches next month

After countless Sony Reader delays, everyone is frantically looking for a reasonable electronic reading alternative. You may not have heard of Staretek prior to this post, but they just may be your knight in monochrome armor with their new STAReBOOK, an e-book reader which is set for release next month. This device, powered by a Samsung 250MHz processor, boasts a large 6-inch SVGA (800 x 600) display, good for four levels of greyscale (no color, natch). Other key specs include 64MB SDRAM, USB 2.0 connectivity, Linux 2.4.1 OS, and a supposed price tag of $440.
