It may not be quite as ubiquitous as the Sidekick, but the Sony Mylo is certainly one powerful (and fashionable) QWERTY handheld. You can now make full use of that WiFi capability free of charge. Sony and T-Mobile have teamed up to provide you one free year of WiFi access via T-Mo’s HotSpot locations (with the purchase of a Mylo). Walk into a Starbucks, and you’ll be able to VoIP, IM, and surf the web to your heart’s content.

This is an excellent value, considering that T-Mobile HotSpot access usually runs you a solid 30 bucks a month. With twelve months of service, that’s a “free” $360 value. Other WiFi access points include Fedex Kinko’s, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Red Roof Inn locations, and select airports.
