Burning battery issues aside, Toshiba has always had a strong reputation in the laptop department. The electronics giant has three new Satellite notebooks for us to enjoy — the U205, M115, and P105 — all of which Core 2 Duo processors for optimal multitasking capabilities, covering the full range of laptop sizes. On the smallest end of the spectrum is the U205 (left) with its 12.1-inch widescreen TruBrite LCD displays. It weighs just 4.1 pounds, packing in all the standard goodies like a DVD SuperMulti drive, 5-in-1 media adapter, and XP Media Center 2005. Bump it up to 14.1-inches and see the Satelllite M115 (center) with 120GB serial-ATA HDD, Onyx Blue Metallic high-gloss lid, and integrated Harmon/Kardon stereo speakers. The biggest of the bunch is the 17-inch P105 (right), a desktop replacement with USB external TV tuners, 2GB DDR2 SDRAM, 160GB HDD, and full-size keyboard. Pricing on the three laptops starts in the $1250-$1300 range.
