We’re in a transitional period. The popularity of hybrid cars is on the rise, but there appears to be a pretty big push to ditch gasoline altogether. Mitsubishi wants to lead the charge, and they are planning a small full-electric vehicle for the United States and Japan.

Naturally, it will have zero emissions. The idea is to have this unnamed vehicle run on lithium-ion batteries (preferably not made by Sony, a flaming laptop is more than enough for me). Of course, nothing is set in stone just yet, so we’ll just have to wait and see if these plans actually come to fruition. Pictured is the company’s Concept-CT MIEV hybrid, which could be transformed into a full electric.
