Hitachi DZ-HS303 camcorder rocks DVD, HDD

This is certainly a hybrid of a different breed. Hitachi has mushed together the best of two worlds with their new DZ-HS303 digital camcorder, giving you the option to store your vids on its integrated hard disk drive or onto a DVD optical disk (though I doubt it will work very well with their new 940GB wonder).

Being showcased at CEATAC 2006 in Japan, the Hitachi DZ-HS303 “Hybridcam” boasts what appears to be 10x optical zoom, 240x total zoom, and a 3 megapixel imaging sensor (though I can’t be sure). Clearly, though, it’s biggest appeal with the marriage of HDD with DVD.
