Here’s a handy recording device that fits in your pocket. It’s the Zoom H4 Handy Digital Recorder from Samson, and it takes whatever it hears through its dual condenser microphones and saves it on SD cards.

Those recordings can be made in MP3 or WAV format, and you can also save files to your PC via the built-in USB port.

Worried about how long you can record? Well, the company says that a pair of AA batteries—which are the power behind the device—can accommodate four hours of recording time before asking for help.

Price is US$300.
