Sony Portable Reader release delayed (again)

We’ve heard a whole lot about the Sony Portable Reader, but we may never get to see it, it seems. The release of the e-inking Reader has been delayed again.

The PRS-500 with the six-inch screen was due to be shipped on or before October 31, but it has now been delayed until the middle of November. The reason given is “overwhelming demand” for the e-book reader, but that sounds like a good deal of spin by the increasingly desperate Sony. Or maybe they are having battery troubles.
