A company called Road Angel Mobile is offering a software application for certain brands of Nokia phones that will track your current driving speed for you and alert you to the locations of safety cameras. Now, we suppose that you could use this to avoid getting a speeding ticket, but you can also find out where construction is being done.

You’ll need a Bluetooth GPS receiver. And did we mention it’s a subscription service? You can get it only in the U.K. for now.

This is such a good idea, though, that we’re sure it will catch on elsewhere soon.
