Announcements from Apple that get everyone all riled up usually involve some new product. We saw it with the release of the 2nd-gen nano. We’re going to see it again with the iTV. But this time, we turn to something a little different. The latest version of iTunes — 7.0.1 — has an interesting quirk in it: it can’t seem to stop mentioning something about a “mobile phone” that can play videos and display pictures. Could this be a hint that the iPhone isn’t far off?
After all, the only iTunes capable phones out there right now are the ROKR and RAZR V3i, and to our knowledge, they’re only good for iTunes music.
