More e-book madness: Panasonic Word Gear

It seems that the next big thing is the e-book. I guess people are tired of carrying around a paperback (or a bulky textbook) with them everywhere they go, much preferring the small (and light) form factor of a comfortable electronic display. Panasonic is throwing their name into the e-book market, this time offering the “Word Gear”. The design is simple but effective with a 5.6-inch touchscreen display capable of resolutions of up 1024 x 600. Measuring 105 x 18.5-28.4 x 152mm and weighing just 325 grams, the Panasonic Word Gear packs an SD expansion slot so that you can quickly and easily load your next set of reading material.
