Nothing says “hardcore” in the photography world quite the same way as a huge honking Hasselblad. Their latest digital SLR is the H3D, a powerful camera with one of the largest image sensors in the world (measuring 48 x 36mm). You can opt for the entry-level version and get your hands on 22 megapixels of shutterbug goodness, but you may really want to take a serious second look at the granddaddy of them all, the 39 megapixel variant.
Just bear in mind that you’ll need to have plenty of two things in order to make full use of this beast: First, you’ll need plenty of memory, as each 39 megapixel (5412 x 7212 pixel) shot will put you back over 110MB apiece; and second, you’ll need a fairly deep pocket, as the expected price will be in the $30K to $40K range. That’s the price you pay to have the absolute best.
