Portable TV is creeping into the vocabulary these days, not just with dedicated devices but also with laptop add-ons. One of the latest of these to hit the States is the Pinnacle PCTV HD Pro Stick. A USB plug-and-play special, the Pro Stick needs only a laptop and a clear shot at television signals.

The USB device comes with a telescoping antenna, so you can keep the signal in focus if it (or you) move. We’re not sure that the remote is necessary, but it comes in the package anyway.

Price is US$130. Availability begins in October.

The company is also introducing some more terrestrial options, including a desktop-special tuner and some video editing software, good for deskbound or portable computers.
