Word is coming out that Apple may eventually use AMD chips in some of their machines. Of course, you have to consider the source of this news before you get too worked up about it – it came from AMD’s CEO at a dinner speech. CEO Hector Ruiz said that Apple will use AMD chips in some systems eventually because it doesn’t want to be held ‘hostage’ by exclusive pricing deals from Intel. And we all know how pricey Intel chips can get.
