Are you sick of boring old two dimensional television yet? You may only have to wait three more years to get 3D TV in your home. The multinational 3DTV network is a consortium funded by the European Commission which is made up of 200 researchers from 70 countries. Within three years we should see stereoscopic 3D, a low end technology that gives the illusion of depth, within three years. The holy grail of 3D viewing, holographic TV, is at least 10 years away and many experts predict it could be 14 to 20 years.
