NAND Flash memory just got more expensive. Prices for the memory just went up by about 8.7% last week. The reason for the inflation is high demand driven by a huge increase in the number of 1GB devices available.

Their will likely be further impact on the price due to the high demand of iPods, and the latest refreshment of the product line. It is predicted that the prices will stay high for at least a couple of months even if nothing else further increases demand.
