MacBooks with Core 2 Duo by Thanksgiving?

The bad news is that we have yet another Apple rumor. The good news is that it isn’t about the video iPod or iPhone.

Word leaking out today is that the updated MacBook and MacBook Pro, which will have Core 2 Duo processors under the hood, may be on the shelves in time for Christmas shopping. We know that they are going to update them eventually, but it is surprising to some that it has taken this long. Intel shipped a huge number of the processors in August, but they ended up in the iMacs. This time the rumor is that they should be on sale by about Thanksgiving.
