TDK wants some of the Solid State Disk attention that Samsung has been getting recently. They have launched their own 32GB SSD, but it is only available as a sample for now.

The drive is about 80% of the size of a 2.5 inch laptop drive, and it has the same benefits that the Samsung offering has; fast reads and booting, longer battery life, reduced weight and better durability. Just a bit more storage.

No word on what this will cost when it becomes available, but hopefully the competition will drive the prices of these drives down.
