Talk about alternative fuels! Some companies may be pursuing gas-electric hybrids, others bio-diesel or ethanol blends. Fiat is taking a different approach: they’re unveiling two methane-powered vehicles this month at the Paris Motor Show.
Yes, methane. Like when ol’ Bessie gets flatulent. These cars do significantly reduce CO2 emissions, though.
The front-wheel-drive Panda Panda (not a typo) runs on either methane or regular gas and is expected to hit Italy in January. The Multipla Multi-eco concept can run on a variety of fuel sources, including gasoline, E85 bioethanol, and, of course, methane.
