On the plus side, XM Satellite Radio will see their service offered as standard equipment across an entire line of cars made by a manufacturer. The downside is that the maker is only Acura. There’s nothing wrong with Acura (there’s a lot right about them, actually), but they aren’t the biggest company out there. Still, the fact that all 2007 Acuras will come with XM is a big step. Take that, Sirius.

Acura will also be expanding the vehicles that it offers XM NavTraffic in. Acura was the first company to offer NavTraffic when they put it in the 2005 Acura RL as part of an AcuraLink system. Now the maker will be putting the service in four of its best selling vehicles. The cars will include two luxury performance sedans – the aforementioned Acura RL and the TL, and two luxury SUVs – the all-new MDX and RDX.
