The UWB hub has four USB ports, for connection of peripheral devices. What you don’t need on the other side is a wired connection to your PC. The hub is a wireless module, and the included USB dongle does the heavy lifting by connecting to that PC and shipping the connectivity to the hub, at a transfer rate of 100 megabits per second.
That transfer rate holds at a rate of up to 10 meters, which should be enough to provide wireless connectivity throughout most homes.
The UWB hub will available in Japan in October, with a price tag of 25,000 to 40,000 Yen. If that price holds when the product reaches the U.S., the outlay will be US$210 to US$340.
