No, that’s not a PhotoShop. It seems that pink is the most important color in any electronics maker palette these days, from the pink Motorola RAZR to the pink Nintendo DS Lite. Sony wants a big piece of the girl gamer market, it seems, because they’re set to unleash a pink version of their popular PSP portable gaming machine and — get this — they’re getting pop artist Pink to do some marketing for them. How fitting.

Unfortunately, there don’t appear to be any plans to ship the feminine player to North America just yet, with the initial launch hitting up the streets of London (and the rest of the United Kingdom) on October 27th. Packaged in with the pink PSP will be a 32MB Sony Memory Stick and a Pink (as in the artist) video on UMD.

Anyways, if you want a pink edition PlayStation Portable, you’ll have to dish out £170 this October.
