At first glance, you may think that it looks like an Aston Martin, but this fast cat is ready to gobble up James Bond’s favourite sports car. Jaguar has just announced pricing for their 2007 XKR Coupe and Convertible, as well as a number of optional packages to spruce up the vehicle. With 420 horses found under the hood, I’d be pretty happy with the garden variety version, thank you very much.

Power comes by way of a supercharged AJ-V8 engine, roaring you through the mountain passes with the best of them. You’ll also enjoy the advanced aluminium chassis, refined transmission, and “superior sporting exterior.” It can go from zero to 60mph in just 4.9 seconds, but if you keep the pedal to the metal, you’ll get electronically limited to its 155mph top speed.

The base XKR coupe will run you $86,500 USD, with the convertible adding a $6,000 premium to the price. They’ve also made available a number of optional packages to up the luxury with plenty of leather ($2,100), boost the sound system with Sirius ($1,875), or increase the wheel size to 20 inches of Cremona-style goodness ($5,000).
