Apple is messing with our minds. The company that is notoriously tight-lipped and never says anything about new products until they are ready to hit the shelves has come out and denied that they are making a wireless iPod.

Reports were out that the company was shipping staff members out to Asia to teach people how to sell the devices, but Apple says no, and that they aren’t even working on the item.

The thing is that we have to figure out whether we should believe them or not. Are they saying that they aren’t building a wireless device because they aren’t building a wireless device (I don’t buy it for a second), or are they just trying to throw us off the trail? With the Zune coming soon, complete with wireless capabilities, it seems that Apple will eventually have to embrace the lack of wires, even if it does drain the batteries like crazy.
